This safari will provide you with the amazing experience of visiting and having a face to face interaction with the great Apes; The Mountain Gorillas of Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a world heritage site in Western Uganda. It is most notable for half of the world’s population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas and this will be the highlight of our safari. Surely this safari will bring everlasting memories; see primates like the Chimpanzees and monkeys, not forgetting a variety of wildlife you will watch all on the same safari. On top of this, enjoy culture and beautiful scenery as you traverse the country side!

Day One: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Depart Entebbe, head for Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and lunch stop at Kolping Hotel Masindi. We enter the Park and visit the magnificent Falls where you will enjoy and marvel at the mighty Nile being forced into a seven meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below and this can be viewed at different points up to the summit. Dine and Slumber at Fort Murchison.

Day Two: Game drive and Boat Cruise

After an early morning breakfast, you cross the Nile by the Ferry and go for game drive on the northern bank. The game found in this part of the park includes Elephants, Rothschild Giraffe, Jackson Hartebeest, Leopard, Lions, Kobs and a variety of woodland and Savannah birds among others. Then in the afternoon after lunch, you go for a boat cruise on the Nile for game viewing at a close range. On this cruise you expect to see many schools of Hippos and Crocodiles and some water birds at a close range. Dine and slumber at Fort Murchison

Day Three: Bonus game drive

Wake up early enough for yet another spectacular bonus morning game drive around the park. Expect to see a variety of animals and the early risers. After the game drive, check out and transfer to Masindi Kolping for overnight stay.

Day Four:  Transfer to Kibale National Park

Depart Murchison Falls after an early breakfast and head for Kibale National Park with lunch en-route. This drive can take you about 10 hours but it mostly depends on nature of the road but you need not worry there will be plenty of stop-overs to take in beautiful views and also interaction with the communities leaving along the roads. On arrival at Kibale Forest, we shall check into the accommodation for dinner and the night stay. Kibale Home stay

Day Five: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

After early morning breakfast you go to this great Park which is said to have the greatest variety of primates in East Africa, for Chimpanzee trekking. Among the primates found in this forest are the black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, and red tailed monkeys. Then in the afternoon after lunch, go for a nature walk in the Bigodi swamp which has many interesting birds

Day Six: Queen Elizabeth Kibale – Queen Elizabeth

After a relaxed breakfast, we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park through the crater lakes area and driving along the foot hills of Rwenzori mountains with en-route lunch. Arriving in the early evening and enter the park with a mini game drive and check at Twin lakes safari lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Seven: Game drive and Boat Cruise

The day begins early as we drive to the Kasenyi plains for the game drive in search for wildlife which includes elephants, buffaloes, Kobs (the national animal for Uganda) hyenas, lions, waterbucks, bush bucks, and leopards according to the luck of the day. This normally takes about 2-3 hours and we come back to the hotel for breakfast, relax around, have lunch and later at 3:00pm. We go for the boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel for yet another but different view of wildlife at close quarters as they come to cool off at the bank of the channel between lakes George and Edward. On this boat trip we are likely to encounter schools of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, and hundreds of bird species, come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Eight: Departure

After having breakfast, unwind at the lodge as you as you get ready for your flight back after having a scrumptious farewell lunch that will remain memorable to you whenever you reflect about the Uganda safari. Drive to your accommodation or Leave for the airport in time to catch your flight back home. No Accommodation
